Bring your existing number to TELUS
You can transfer any existing phone number to your TELUS Mobility account, including numbers from other carriers and landline numbers. Your TELUS account will be activated with a temporary number and you can request a number transfer after you have received our SIM card. Your existing phone number will replace your temporary TELUS number once the transfer is complete.
Important: Do not discard your old SIM card or delete your old eSIM and do not cancel your account with your previous service provider until your number is successfully transferred to TELUS. Once the transfer is complete, your previous service will be automatically cancelled.

Device Care is a service TELUS and Koodo offer in partnership with Asurion that provides our customers peace of mind knowing that their device is protected should they damage their device.
How does coverage work for Device Care Products?
Your Device Care protection is tied to your phone number. To be eligible for coverage, your device must be connected to the TELUS network at the time of peril.
What's covered:
- Accidental damage coverage for physical and lquid damage
- Replacement if your device is lost or stolen (only with Device Care Complete), or can't be fixed
- Covers malfunctions after manufacturer's warranty ends
- $39 cracked front screen repairs for eligible devices (excludes Apple Watch), fixed as soon as next day
- Other repairs for eligible devices (excludes Apple Watch), like broken camera, charging port, speaker repair and more
- Faulty battery replacement for $0 (excludes all watches)
- Make up to 2 claims within any 12-month period (cracked front screen repairs and battery replacements do not count toward claim limit with Device Care Complete)
What isn't covered under Device Care Products?
- Defects covered by the one-year manufacturer warranty
- Accessories, cosmetic damage, and changes or enhancements to your device
- Abuse, misuse, or intentional acts
- Problems with the device before your enrolment was in effect
- Failure caused by computer viruses
- Device Care BYOD and Device Care Connected don't cover lost or stolen devices
What service fees apply when making a claim?
When making a claim, you will need to pay a service fee. To determine your replacement or service fee, visit phoneclaim.com/TELUS. These costs are in addition to your monthly payments.
Bring-It-Back™
What’s the catch?
There is none. Simply pick your device and get a big upfront discount with no hidden fees. Then, at the end of your plan, return your device in good condition and upgrade to the newest model. Please note, taxes are not deducted from the upfront device cost.
What if I want to keep my device?
Simply repay the original Bring-It-Back Program Amount. Then you can create a BYOD plan or get a new device with or without a Bring-It-Back discount.
What condition does my device have to be in?
In order for a device to be considered eligible for return, it must meet the following 6 criteria. If it does not meet the criteria you will need to pay the Bring-It-Back Program Amount.
- Device must power on and navigate properly to the home screen
- The activation lock must be turned off
- The LCD must function correctly and be free of dead spots or bruising
- The screen must be undamaged and free of cracks
- The rest of the device must be undamaged with no cracks, signs of water damage, or missing parts (hinges, keypad, housing, buttons, battery, etc)
- All information must be wiped
What happens if I damage my device?
If your phone is damaged and no longer meets the Bring-It-Back eligibility criteria, you will be required to pay the Bring-It-Back Program Amount. Be sure to sign up for AppleCare+ or Device Care Complete so if something happens to your phone, we’ll exchange it for the same device and you can avoid any additional charges.
TELUS Easy Payment®
Subject to approved credit with a 24-month TELUS Easy Payment® agreement (0% APR) on any in-market plan with data and voice included. TELUS Easy Payment® balance will be repaid over a 24 month period via equal monthly payments. Payment of any outstanding TELUS Easy Payment® balance due upon termination, or account transfer. Applicable taxes are calculated based on the total no term price less any device discounts and must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Pay-per-use charges (including long distance, roaming and additional airtime or data) are extra.
